This was the first bow kill for 14 year old Dylan (at left). Jessie tracked this hill country doe last night in the stiff north wind. Shot high in the back from a ground blind, we didn't have much blood to work with, but Jessie worked out the 125 yard trail in about 20 minutes. Congrats to Dylan on his first hunt, first shot at a deer, and first kill!

Sixteen year old TJ had broke his arm playing football but worked out a way
he could still hunt and not miss the Texas archery season. The shot was a
high and hard quartering away shot with very little blood left on the trail.
Ten yards down the trail is the only blood I saw besides the blood on the
arrow. Rosco found the buck in a draw around 100 yards later.
